Hope hope hope

Update on the house...

Originally we thought we would have 3-4 couples to show the house to - people that are interested in a 3 bed, 2 bath house in Clinton. We thought we would try to sell the house on our own before having to pay a realtor. The first couple can't decide if they want to buy right now or not, the next couple put a bid on another house on the day they were supposed to look at ours, and the third couple was never really an option. However, we did show our house yesterday and the lady wants to come back tonight! So while this sounds positive, we are trying not to get our hopes up too high. We have an appointment on Monday to hire a realtor. Craig will be leaving next weekend to start work on July 6th. So it will soon be more complicated as far as our availability to show the house.

We started a website to help advertise our home: http://clintonhouseforsale.blogspot.com/

(This blog is now 1 year old! One year ago I was starting my training for the Chicago marathon. I can't believe it has been a year. It was definitely a great experience. I wish I had the time and motivation to do it again this year. ALSO, more importantly, Karter Gray is 1 year old! It has been so fun to watch him (through pictures!) grow this year. Congratulations Dana and Kris.)

Apartment/Orientation

Yay! We have a place to live! We found a nice apartment in Bloomington to rent for the next year. It was quite a process trying to find a place that would fit our needs. Most of the renting possibilities are geared toward students. I think we finally found a clean, quiet, roomy apartment! Craig will move down 4th of July weekend. I will still be working in Terre Haute until the middle of July and then I will join him when I start my job. (Our apartment is the one on the top right side...won't those stairs be fun!?!)

Ellettsville Dental Center

Today I went to my new place of employment and spent the morning checking everything out. Hopefully my first day will go a little smoother because I am a little more familiar with the office. It was great to meet most of the staff. Everyone seemed very nice and very willing to help make my transition into the office easy. I went to lunch with 2 of the hygienists and had the chance to ask a lot of questions. I feel like they were very open and honest and this office will be a great place to work.

Highlight of the weekend

We were blessed to spend some time with our friend Dana, her mom, and her son for dinner Sunday night. Karter is almost 1 year old!! It was great to see them and we loved our time with them!
