"Home"

After some hard work this morning, I found the kitchen table again! We are having company and it was time to make the apartment presentable! It is starting to look and smell like home. I still call it "the apartment," but Craig calls it "home."

Happy Saturday

Today is a cloudy, cool day that definitely doesn't feel like August in Indiana! We went for a little run/bike in downtown Bloomington on the B Line Trail. The trail runs right next to the farmers market. There were a ton of people out and about. We had lunch at the Bloomington Sandwhich Company for a great, yummy lunch.

On our way back, we took an excursion out of our way to check out some of the country around us. All of a sudden we ran into...

Monroe Reservoir - How pretty!

Pretty country roads that reminded me of driving through Parke County

Then we saw the funniest thing...

Indulge me for a minute...

I'm kinda in love with this shoe...
What a perfect combination: Nine West and New Balance!

House update...yay.

Today was supposed to be closing day on the house. Or so we thought. So much so that I took the afternoon off from work. However, due to some paperwork details, we didn't close today. So now the closing is scheduled for Tuesday (my day off, yay.)

The grass didn't grow too much last week at the house and since we were supposed to close early this week, we didn't bother mowing the grass. Now it looks like we will be making another trip this weekend, just to mow the grass. yay.

Craig and I just got back from a work outing. I'm not 100% sure of the purpose, but it is an organization that has the goal of networking the new hires at Crane. So tonight we got together and went bowling. Everyone we met was very nice and easy to talk to. Most people have moved to the area recently, so we got compare rent prices, commutes, etc. It was a good time. yay.

My job is continuing to be great. One of the things I love the best is working with other hygienists. My first 5 years, I have mainly been the only hygienist in the office. So now I feel like I have tons of resources if I ever have a problem. The dentists, all 4 of them, have been really great too. yay.

Our apartment is finally looking like a real "house." I finally got most of the boxes unpacked or put away so that the second bedroom can be used as a bedroom. (you guessed it...yay.)

Goodbye

The sun is setting on the chapter of our home ownership in Clinton!

At 8:45 pm Saturday night we said goodbye to our house! We are officially moved out. However, we haven't officially closed on the house. After Craig spoke with our realtor on Friday, it sounds like we should close this week.

We have so many memories at this house. We are glad we got to live here, but we are so amazed at how God has taken care of our need to sell so quickly.

Pool

Since we live on the second floor, we are not allowed to have our grill on our balconies. Luckily there is a nice community gas grill pretty close to our apartment. We have had a couple dinners out there. We also had the opportunity to meet one of our neighbors while we were sharing the grill. It is nice to wave at someone who "knows" us.

This is pretty to look at...not really sure it has ever been used.

Everyone should come enjoy our pool!

So check your calendars and come visit us!

Empty home...

The house is looking pretty empty...

...Even the fridge!

Ta Da!
I must say...the buyers are getting a pretty clean fridge!

For the buyers to get the loan for the house, we had to do some work in the crawl space. Craig's dad was nice enough to help out. It wasn't a fun job. Both of them were pretty sore from army crawling around under there. Hopefully our closing date can be set soon and we can be done making trips every weekend!
