Clear Creek Trail

Clear Creek Trail is apparently the only flat place in Bloomington to run. It is also beautiful. Since we have joined the YMCA, I have joined the "Endurance Class." We meet 3-4 times a week with different goals for each meeting. Saturday we ran the trail and it was a beautiful morning.

Last summer when I was training for the marathon, I always wished that I had someone else to train with (besides the best husband in the world on his bike!) Now that I get to run with others, I definitely enjoy the benefits.

But I also enjoy just running with my thoughts. I always did a lot of thinking when I was running on my own.

Craig and I went back to the trail today and took a long walk and enjoyed more of the scenery.

Pretty pretty

Last weekend

Last Saturday was a beautiful day! After our morning workout, we headed to Ellettsville for our third parade of the summer.
It was an ok parade...I've seen better, but it was still fun to go.
Then we headed to Oliver Winery. It was gorgeous once again. This was our second visit. Our first visit was a year ago. We have talked about visiting since July and it finally worked out that we could enjoy a full weekend in Bloomington and had time to go.

Dorks
What a pretty blue sky. There was also the perfect cool breeze. Gorgeous day.

The wine tasting area was very busy, but we had a great time testing. I favor the sweeter wines and Craig likes a little bit of everything.
We settled on a bottle that we both like, which is one of their newer wines - Sangria. They have plenty of outdoor seating and we enjoyed talking and just enjoying the day.

They have HUGE fish that are entertaining to watch and love to be fed.
Did I mention that it was a beautiful day! We had a great weekend. We don't need much of an excuse to go back if anyone wants to visit us and the winery!

"Birfday" and Labor Day Weekend

Thursday was my 21 + 6th birthday! It was also IU's first home football game. It was Craig's casual day at work so he wore his IU polo. My office was decked out in football decorations and we all wore our IU gear.

This is Craig with one of the most special gifts I have received! Craig totally surprised me and had a piece of art framed that my Grandma Beynon had painted. While Craig and I were unpacking in the new apartment, we came across this painting in the front of a notebook. We talked about getting it framed someday to preserve it. I didn't think any more about it until he surprised me with it on my birthday. Both Sarah and I remember this painting, but not really the story behind it. My grandma always encouraged us to do art projects when we stayed with her. It brings back a lot of good memories.

Thursday night we went to the game. It was a beautiful night and IU won!

Saturday morning Eric, Sarah, and I participated in the Little Italy 5K race. It was beautiful morning and I loved running it with them. Eric even received a second place trophy for his age group!

"Home"

After some hard work this morning, I found the kitchen table again! We are having company and it was time to make the apartment presentable! It is starting to look and smell like home. I still call it "the apartment," but Craig calls it "home."

Happy Saturday

Today is a cloudy, cool day that definitely doesn't feel like August in Indiana! We went for a little run/bike in downtown Bloomington on the B Line Trail. The trail runs right next to the farmers market. There were a ton of people out and about. We had lunch at the Bloomington Sandwhich Company for a great, yummy lunch.

On our way back, we took an excursion out of our way to check out some of the country around us. All of a sudden we ran into...

Monroe Reservoir - How pretty!

Pretty country roads that reminded me of driving through Parke County

Then we saw the funniest thing...
